Goa hospitality, witnesses’ full house over few days and steady business recovery

1 Mins read

This weekend and the coming days especially for the state of Goa, has brought some respite to the otherwise dampened business of the hospitality industry. With few leading brands losing around 10 to 12 crore worth of business over the 4 months period from March to July, this trend of boom comes as a relief.

With business flowing in from regions such as Mumbai and Pune, hotels, resorts, villas, homestays etc are looking at a week that is vibrant from the business viewpoint. Though all leading brands, leading boutique stays and premium villas have placed all Covid protocols in place, the industry urges its patrons to honour and respect Covid protocols in the best interest of all. Tour operators are also urging people to travel responsibilities so that this will help them recover faster.

Anshu Tejuja, Managing Director, Ashoka Dream Holidays, is buoyant about the market but also feels travellers should travel responsibly, keeping all tourist protocols in place. This will help the industry recover and hence lead to happier and safer travel. She feels the travellers are ready to explore new destinations within India, which is an encouraging sign. She believes 2022-23 will witness a boom and she feels extremely optimistic about the future, however, keeping in view no further challenges come in the way to hamper business.
