Reema Lokesh – Team Reemarkabl
It’s that time of the year when uncertainty stills grips the world. The hospitality and the tourism industry was probably the ones that were bruised the most by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, as the saying goes, fortune favours the brave and those who see opportunity amidst adversity. The 8th edition of Chef’s Connect 2020 is all about resilience and more. The two day online sessions on the 27th and the 28th of November, 2020, on the theme `Taste of Biodiversity’ – Growth, Nourish, Sustain, promises to offer its delegates and fraternity, a fabulous lineup of speakers, who will share some poignant and pertinent topics of relevance and revival. It’s a conference that promises to show the way forward and offer some noteworthy take homes. The speakers at the event are as follows,
Vibha Varshney, a PhD holder in Botany, will be the keynote speaker. She has been reporting on health, food and science issues through various media. She has authored three books on food & biodiversity.
Shatbhi Basu, India’s very first woman bartender who broke stereotypes by establishing herself in a male-dominant profession. She will be speaking on “Biodiversity in the Indian Alcobev Space” – Plant to glass using the wisdom of the past and the dynamics of today.
Jinal Shah holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics. A speaker at TEDx, International Conferences, Public Health Forums & Educational Institutes will be speaking on “Eat Local, Think Global”
Dr Kurush Dalal is an archaeologist, historian, food anthropologist and raconteur with a keen interest in researching culinary anthropology and food archaeology. He will be speaking on “Biodiversity of Consumption through Human History and Cultural Evolution in South Asia”.
Ms. Shubhra Chatterji, a food-researcher, writer & director who has traveled around India for the last 10 years to document its culture, history, and in particular, culinary heritage will be speaking on “Back to the future”: Look at the past to shape the future of food – recipes, ingredients, techniques and addressing food sustainability.
This forward looking conference promises to be a true knowledge platform, for some thought provoking content sharing and experiences.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such excellent information being shared freely out there. Katusha Daryl Malarkey
